Shot by Tyrone Lebon, in a family atmosphere and with a very small crew, the campaign for the Summer Fall 2023 collection took place at Pieter Mulier’s home, in Antwerp, in the same space where the show was presented in January.
Mica, Julia and Anok — who personify the Alaïa woman envisioned by Pieter Mulier — instinctively seize the entirety of this intimate space. From the concrete ramp to the leather bed. From the terrace to the elevator. Alongside flowers, books, furniture and artworks.
Under the profound light of the Flemish sky, the clothes become their second skin. A combination of ease, sexiness and effortless chic. The quintessence of Alaïa and a nod to Azzedine’s primordial conception of fashion.
Captured with no artifice, the Summer Fall 2023 campaign embodies Alaïa’s iconic vision of natural beauty. And its unique family spirit. The clothes, like the space, are personal, sculpted directly on the body, with a precise and yet instinctive structure. They remind us that the home is a vital component to Alaïa.
