Burberry reveals its Year of the Rabbit 2023 campaign building upon the brand’s spirit of adventure, a celebration of taking a leap into the unknown.
The campaign stars actors Qi Xi, Shi Pengyuan and sportswoman Zhao Lina and is captured by video director Zika Liu and photographer Sky. In a triptych of films, each individual is on a journey through open spaces offering the chance for a new perspective: the opportunity to experience the extraordinary to find confidence, passion and creativity.
Inspired by the Year of the Rabbit, the exclusive collection features the Thomas Burberry Monogram playfully reimagined with rabbit ears. This is adorned on womenswear, menswear and childrenswear, the signature Lola bag, accessories, cashmere and silk scarves.
The rabbit is a key motif running throughout the collection, including cartoon-inspired iterations: some positioned back-to-back so that the ears meet to form a heart shape whilst others sit atop the Burberry logo.
The womenswear outerwear includes a reversible padded jacket – one side is printed with the Thomas Burberry Monogram and motifs celebrating the Year of the Rabbit while the quilted reverse is tagged with the Burberry logo. A fleece jacket in a wool and cashmere blend cut to a relaxed fit, and a varsity jacket in technical wool. An oversized shirt features alongside a fluid shirt dress in an Italian-woven silk blend, styled with contrast piping and an embroidered Burberry logo. Elevated knitwear includes a classic crew-neck jacquard-woven cardigan and an intarsia sweater with motifs celebrating the Year of the Rabbit. Other pieces include T-shirts, hoodies, jogging pants and skirts printed and patterned with seasonal graphics.
