Introducing Courrèges' Fall-Winter 2024 Campaign

For Fall-Winter 2024, Nicolas Di Felice pursues his collaboration with revered photographer and creative polymath Mark Borthwick to expand Courrèges’ geometric codes.

The ‘Carré Magique’ - a trompe-l’oeil concept at the heart of the collection’s construction - is erected into monumental cubes on which the models daringly recline, mirroring the improvised portraits on the opposite frame of each diptych.

Imagined in collaboration between Nicolas Di Felice and scenography director Rémy Brière, the set’s minimal surrealism engages the scale and dimensions of the image by injecting 2D-seeming architecture into infinite white space. Like a graphic epilogue of the SS24 collages, the campaign casts geometry and colour as abstract characters of its narrative - icons of the Courrèges universe sprung to life by the illusion of image-making.

Borthwick’s captures the spontaneous sculpturality of the season’s silhouettes. Familiar faces Loli Bahia and Mona Tougaard are teamed with new muses Natasa Vojnovic, Jeanne Cadieu, Ayo Hassan and Fei Fei Sun in the staging of a moment of unfiltered serenity. Lounging in the vacuum of a blank page, they breathe an effortless authority into the monochrome emotions they embody - the certitude of red, the clarity of off-white, the rawness of black, the confidence of navy.

The campaign muses on the glossy surfaces it was designed to occupy, its stark imagery speaking of the radical optimism that has driven Courrèges since day one.
