Lanvin Autumn Winter 2025

“This collection is deeply personal – an homage to Jeanne Lanvin’s world and her intimate sense of style. I sought to project the essence of her wardrobe today while imagining it on a cast of modern characters — which I hope you’ll enjoy to discover.” — Peter Copping, Artistic Director of Lanvin

A statement of intent. The return of Lanvin – a return to timeless values of elegance and savoir-faire, and to the distinct style and unique spirit of Jeanne Lanvin herself. The Autumn Winter 2025 Lanvin collection, a début by Artistic Director Peter Copping, also represents a homecoming, a rediscovery of Lanvin’s meaning, the esprit of founder and Maison.

Jeanne Lanvin’s vision of creativity was panoramic, encompassing clothes for women and men, for mother and children, parfums, interiors – a life, through a style. The signature of her Maison since the 1920s has been a shade of blue, connected to the ocean and the air, to nature, the dynamic energy of travel, and the mood of her moment. Signified anew, today this blue has evolved from the original in a representation of the passage of time, a visual key to Lanvin’s unique heritage as the oldest continually operating Parisian couture Maison, founded in 1889.

The Maison – a house, but also a home. A collection and an outlook innately dedicated to the attitude and ethic of its founder, with remembered nuances of archival styles, her creativity. Honoring Lanvin as a woman, her personal wardrobe, her home, her life and style, inspiring not only the collection itself but a wider cultural perspective, a future legacy. Indeed, Jeanne Lanvin’s own description of idealized elegance – le chic ultime – becomes a house mantra, a stance and approach.

The silhouette is sharp and defined, elongated, inspiration drawn from illustration, a reality stylized. The Lanvin emblem, a mother and child designed by Paul Iribe in 1923, is radiated through a cross-generational casting, a study of contemporary characters – a cast of and for the modern day. The forms of a ‘J’ and ‘L’ are present in the cut of garments and accessories, shaping handbags and defining the heightened heels of footwear – a literal signature, a loving homage. Motifs drawn from the interiors of Jeanne Lanvin’s own home become new emblems of her Maison.

Couture gestures connect present to history, symbols of eternal allure. Fluid draperies and embroideries become t-shirts and sweaters, while cabans and trench coats, archetypical Parisian garments, are given new volumes and afforded detail in satin. In the current age, a couture sensibility translates to notions of preciousness and craft. It is a sensibility alive and present throughout the Maison again, keyed to an idea of radical individuality, like a renewed heartbeat.
