MIU MIU TYRE SNEAKERS
Miu Miu enriches its sneaker collection with the launch of a new group, inspired by the brand’s birth decade of the 1990s. Presented within the SS25 Prelude Collection, the Tyre comes in two iterations: laced and ballerina. The color palette is matte and warm featuring loden (dark green), nube (soft grey), avorio(creamy white), topazio (colorful yellow) for the laced models, while ballerinas are presented in the softer shades avorio and nube.
Both versions have optic white detailing at the heel and natural rubber soles, the silouette referencing a dynamic movement, like car tyres, from which the sneaker’s name takes inspiration. The uppers of the Tyre sneakers are created in Tela Tec fabric, woven in Italy, and leather both from certified suppliers. Soles are lightweight, flexible, and highly abrasion resistant and the insides are cushioned and equally malleable, crafted for comfort.
The Tyre sneaker family perfectly embodies the fusion of sport and fashion, function andelegance that is embodied in the Miu Miu spirit.
Turned on their sides, models are photographed against a flat white background and concrete floor. The mood is direct, set for adventure and very slightly askew. The abbreviation and exaggeration in silhouette and proportion are signifiers of the here and now.
An ongoing fascination with uniform takes on a rebellious twist with a nod to the traditional scout. Clean lines and functional details ribbon belts, box buckles and utilitarian fabrics uphold a heritage color palette of khaki, navy, burgundy and racing green, accented with touches of yellow. Cotton satin has a subtle sheen.
Signature raw cuts and exposed linings highlight Miu Miu’s refined but always dynamic take on tailoring. Single-breasted jackets, knee-length skirts, pleated miniskirts and blousons are crafted in iconic materials including camel chino, garment-dyed gabardine, washed for softness and vintage effect, and pale blue cotton piquet check.
Looks are accessorized with the Beau, Wander, Arcadie bags and menswear-inspired buckled and laced knee-high and ankle boots in aged leather. The Beau bag, new in two-tone woven leather variants, is paired with the Tyre sneaker.
