On February 13, 2025, Miu Miu premiered the short film “AUTOBIOGRAFIA DI UNA BORSETTA” written and directed by British auteur Joanna Hogg, celebrating the 29th edition of Miu Miu Women’s Tales.
The screening of the new film took place at the Curzon Mayfair Cinema, which was transformed into an intimate home welcoming the Women’s Tales cinephile community.
After the screening, Joanna Hogg was in conversation with Penny Martin, where they discussed the ideas, inspiration and innovation behind Joanna’s instalment - as well as the indispensable role clothes play not only as characters in a story, but in the guise of the filmmaker too. This continues Miu Miu Women’s Tales long-standing dedication towards elevating female filmmaking to the centre of contemporary cultural discourse.
This was followed by a cocktail and party at Langan’s Brasserie, where cinema as a form and language was celebrated.
