Miu Miu continues its collaboration with New Balance with three new iterations of the brands iconic 574 sneaker for the Spring/Summer 2023 season.
Crafted in fringed blue and marble-effect cognac denim and blanched white leather, the sneakers uphold the New Balance heritage, drawing on a much-loved Eighties silhouette, effortlessly merged with the Miu Miu handwriting.
In a perfect portrayal of Miu Miu's current attitude, elements of deconstruction and reconstruction as well as the reimagining of wardrobe tropes are all in play. The stacked New Balance x Miu Miu logo, first seen on the Miu Miu Spring/Summer 2022 runway in Paris, is stamped on the tongue of all sneakers once again.
Lensed by Moni Haworth and stars model Kayla Dunlap in a stripped back and muscular sequence of still and moving imagery that encapsulates the conversation between fashion and function, between innovation and a respect for technique and tradition that both Miu Miu and New Balance names represent.
