Blanchard began her acting career at a young age, appearing in commercials and guest-starring on television shows such as Dance-A-Lot-Robot and Best Friends Whenever. In 2013, she landed her breakout role as Riley Matthews in Girl Meets World, a sequel to the popular 1990s sitcom Boy Meets World. The show aired for three seasons and Blanchard received critical acclaim for her performance, earning two Young Artist Award nominations for Outstanding Actress in a Television Series.
During her time on Girl Meets World, Blanchard also appeared in several films, including the fourth installment of the Spy Kids franchise, Spy Kids: All the Time in the World. In 2022, Blanchard starred in the Hulu film Crush, a coming-of-age romantic comedy about a high school student who falls for her best friend. The film has been praised for its honest and heartwarming portrayal of queer love.
